On our long journey there is always the Party flag flying. On the journey to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation came the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). To celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, to implement the guiding principles from General Secretary Xi Jinping’s major speeches, to fully exercise strict Party discipline, to further strengthen anti-corruption campaigns, to carry out the Three Stricts and Three Honests thematic education, and to always be consistent with the CPC Central Committee in politics, ideology and action, the College of Communication Engineering carried out a series of activities.
Learn more about the Party. In order to implement the educational activities of "learning the Party Constitution, observing rules and regulations, and keeping discipline", the College launched a mini-party lecture, in which the Secretary of the College Party Committee told all party members the history and profound connotation of the party oath under the theme of "own ideals, fulfill purposes, keep discipline and be a pioneer", and put forward the requirements of understanding, memorizing and practicing the oath. The mini party lecture was welcomed by the members for its briefness and small load.
Trust the Party. In order to further exert the pioneering role of Party members and reflect party’s purity and advanced nature, the College held the Telling Stories of Party Members Around Us in June. Professors and students told the stories of Party members such as Wang Shuxun and Chai Hua. All Party members present said the activity brought closer the Party members and faculty and students, and thus strengthened their support and trust in the Party.
Be in awe of the Party. For a Party member, taking an oath under the Party’s flag is sacred and solemn. In order to honor the commitment of Party members and to show the image of Party members with practical actions, the College held Oath to Join the Party for new members and Relive the Oath of the Party Membership for old members. All participants raised their right hands and swore to the Party’s flag in the activities, which further strengthened their ideals and deepened their respect for the Party.
Love the Party. In order to show Party's care for faculty and students, the College leaders led a visit to a Party member of the College who had long been seriously ill. They not only offered him a financial aid, but had a heartwarming talk with him, encouraging him to fight against the disease. The comrade expressed his gratitude for the college's visit and said he would stay optimistic to face all difficulties.
In order to further exert the role of the student branch as a battle fortress, the college organized activities for student Party members and applicants for Party membership to put into practice their deep feelings for the Party and the country: to visit the Patriotism Education Base to learn the development of the Party, to visit and help the elderly living alone in many communities and to participate in various pro-bono activities in Nanhu Park.
Purify the Party. Taking the university’s anti-corruption inspection as an opportunity, the College comprehensively summarized the progress and experience of anti-corruption campaigns carried out. Through a series of moves, the College laid out more clearly-defined goals and tasks for future anti-corruption campaigns, which laid a solid foundation for further improving the College's honesty.
The College carried out a collecting for Clean Government Works Exhibition, which attracted many students and teachers eager to contribute their works. Works submitted were of various types, including photography, art design, comics, traditional Chinese paintings, soft and hard calligraphy. The Clean Government Works Exhibition was held successfully, setting a good context for the whole College.
Promote the Three Stricts and Three Honests thematic education. In order to implement the University's requirements on the Three Stricts and Three Honests thematic education, the College formulated the Implementation Plan of The Three Stricts and Three Honests Thematic Education of the College of Communication Engineering. The Secretary of the College Party Committee gave a special Party lecture to all members. By explaining the content, connotation, practice and requirements of the education and combining it with positive and negative cases, he asked the faculty and students to stay committed to their ideals and abide by Party disciplines and rules. The special education got wide attention from faculty and students.
By carrying out a series of activities, the College had further enhanced members’ awareness of the ethical standards of the Party, reinforced the Party's creativity, cohesion and strength, thus laid a solid foundation for the grass-roots level Party building.
