To commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and to further enhance Party members’ awareness of the ethical standards of the Party and to raise their sense of honor, responsibility and mission, the College of Communication Engineering held a ceremony for new members to take the oath of membership and old members to relive the oath of membership on July 1. All faculty Party members and some student Party members attended the ceremony, which was presided over by Tang Lishan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College.
The ceremony began with the majestic melody of The Internationale. Afterwards, all Party members raised their right hands and swore a solemn oath in front of the bright red Party flag, with the passionate voice resounding throughout the hall. Each member expressed his or her commitment to the Party with heartfelt voice, and in front of the Party flag, everyone received a spiritual baptism. Zhao Zhishan, representative of probationary student Party members, spoke on behalf of all new members and expressed his determination to keep his promises under the Party flag, to continue to push himself, to keep the political nature as a Party member and to make himself an outstanding Party member.
All Party members said that keeping in mind the oath of joining the Party had strengthened their sense of honor, and they would take the initiative to bear the glorious responsibility and mission and make due contribution to the great cause of the Party.
